Construction Management at SIUE

The construction management program in the Department of Construction at SIUE blends business and engineering coursework to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary for the multi-faceted aspects of careers in construction management. Students in the School of Engineering study engineering fundamentals and construction management practices and procedures, and integrate a business administration minor to develop a strong foundation that allows them to rapidly advance in the construction industry.

The construction management program is accredited with the American Council for Construction Education.

Career Opportunities

The construction industry is one of the largest components of the U.S. economy, and according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the construction management field is expected to grow 11% through 2026. The scope of construction ranges from single buildings to mega-projects with total costs in the billions of dollars.

Continual changes in the industry require construction professionals with a diverse set of skills and knowledge in business management, engineering principles and construction methods and technology. Our graduates are in high demand across the industry.
