Course Overview

In a fast-changing fashion market, which is being reshaped by new business models, emerging technologies and shifting consumer values, career paths in fashion promotion and communication have become an important facet. As the rise of the internet has transformed media, the industry has opened a plethora of opportunities beyond the fashion designer’s role, in areas such as visual merchandising, trend forecasting, styling and art direction, branding and fashion media.

Our BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion and Communication is aimed at ambitious, inquiring, creative individuals who are keep developing a career in the fashion industry. We are looking for applicants who have a strong interest in fashion, image-making, styling, digital media and how fashion could be communicated to an audience. You will need to be highly motivated and have a passion for the breadth of opportunities that fashion promotion and communication has to offer.

What are my career prospects

This course can help prepare you for a range of careers. These include; fashion stylist, fashion photographer or film maker, creative/art director, marketing, writing and journalism, PR, fashion branding, buying and visual merchandising.

Throughout your time here we will support you to find your place within the industry. We will help you develop important skills and your ideas, helping you become an independent learner. You will be actively encouraged to develop your portfolio and to apply for internships during the University holidays.
