在这里学什么？ A number of our degrees are also offered with an additional foundation year (Year 0). Whether you are a school-leaver or someone considering returning to study but don’t have the entry requirements for your chosen subject, a foundation year course may be just what you’re looking for.A foundation year is the first year of a four year programme which:•provides an introduction not only to study at University but also to your chosen subject•offers you a highly supportive environment where you can develop the self-confidence, knowledge, skills and understanding for further study.Take a step towards a career that really makes a difference to people in a society where crime is a part of everyday life. You could work at the cutting edge of crime in a job where every day is different. Forensic investigators are key players in investigating and solving crime and they often provide the evidence that ensures offenders are brought to justice. During the course you will have the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of forensic theories, practices, procedures, cases and the criminal justice system. You will also develop practical skills using a range of mock crime scenes, laboratories, policing and court facilities, supported by experienced staff who are ex-forensic practitioners.The foundation year is designed to cement your confidence in the foundations of key forensic and scientific principles as well as study skills. These will be needed to help you progress through the rest of your degree studies.
