在这里学什么？ Study our children’s nursing degree for a rewarding career helping to care for children, young people and their families.This degree in children's nursing prepares you for the role and responsibilities of a registered children's nurse. You'll be working in the NHS serving young people and their families in south-east London and Kent.We provide you with the skills to meet the needs of young people and their families in acute hospital trusts, community settings, and their home environments. You'll learn accountability for your role in their lives and more about the personal, social and cultural influences that affect young people's physical health and mental wellbeing.We prepare you to apply for registration as a children's nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Our degree will help you achieve the outcomes from the NMC Standards Framework for Pre-registration Nursing Programmes (2019).Placements:Our nursing and midwifery courses are run in partnership with several NHS Trusts, who work with us because of our reputation for teaching excellence. When on placement you will be allocated a practice supervisor who will support your learning and development on placement. You will also be assigned a practice assessor who will complete the formal assessment of your practice learning. You will spend 50% of your time each year in these valuable work placements. Here you will learn the vital importance of communication and team work with other staff members. We work in partnership with the following NHS Trusts:London Boroughs1. Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Hospital Trust With integrated community care services for Adults, Children and Women.Students may be placed in Greenwich, Woolwich, Lewisham, Catford, Lee, Lambeth, Southwark, Bromley and Bexley.2. Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation TrustStudents may be placed in Camberwell, Denmark Hill and Bromley.3. Guys and St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust Incorporating the Evelina Children's Hospital and integrated community services for Adults and ChildrenStudents may be placed in Central London (Westminster, London Bridge, Lambeth and Southwark).4. Barts Health NHS TrustThe site is predominately Newham University Hospital site and the Newham area with a small number of placements in Whitechapel, the City of London and Waltham Forest.Kent1. Dartford & Gravesham NHS TrustStudents are placed in North and West Kent, including Dartford.If you choose to study a Nursing or Midwifery programme, at your interview you will be asked to nominate the NHS trust you would like to be based in. Wherever possible, we try to meet your wishes. You will undertake most of your placement in this trust, but you may work in others if a placement is not available in your selected trust.It is important when choosing your trust to remember that you may be required to work shifts that include hours outside the normal working day. You will need to consider your transport options and ensure that your placement is within travelling distance.You may be able to claim reimbursement of travel costs incurred whilst attending your placement. "Like all universities, the University of Greenwich must develop our pre-registration nursing and midwifery courses in line with the requirements as stated in the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (2018) standards framework for nursing and midwifery education. These standards underpin all education for nurses, midwives and nursing associates to ensure courses reflect the safety and needs of the public, the profession and our students. To do this we have a schedule of programme re-approvals, and this course and the module content is currently subject to this review process. We anticipate this to be finalised by Jan 2021 and will consult you of any further changes should they arise before the
