These are the kind of questions you can explore via different subjects in humanities.The Humanities department is made up of a community of learners from foundation year to PhD level, and works with a range of cultural partners to provide students with industry exposure. At the forefront of international research, many staff are active researchers and well-known figures in their field. Our English Language and Literature research publications are ranked in the UK top 15 for quality, and our History research publications are ranked in the UK top 20 (REF 2014)This foundation year will prepare you for degree level study in a range of disciplines across Humanities whilst emphasising the transferable skills of research and communication, employability and independent learning.Through studying distinctive and stimulating modules, you will engage in a theory and practice combination where you get to pursue your particular academic interests.
