Ocean engineers study the world’s ocean environment using engineering expertise to analyze its effects on vessels and structures. They are involved in deep-sea exploration and projects such as designing and operating platforms or sub-surface vehicles.

A master’s in ocean engineering from Florida Tech provides students a multidisciplinary, hands-on program oriented toward the needs of industry. With its emphasis on basic engineering sciences, design, and modern engineering tools and methods, ours is one of the only graduate programs in the country that offers training in ocean engineering, naval architecture, oceanography, meteorology, environmental science, and coastal management.

Through hands-on fieldwork, students apply their understanding of civil, mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering to design and build solutions for complex marine environments.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students looking to enroll in a master's degree program at Florida Tech must hold a bachelor's degree (four-year degree) in a related field from a recognized, regionally accredited college or university (or the international equivalent). Applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 as an undergraduate in order to be considered for admission to a Florida Tech master's degree program. Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with an earned score of at least 79, an IELTS with an earned score of at least 6.0, a PTE Academic with an earned score of at least 58, a Cambridge English: Advanced with an earned score of at least 180 (Grade of C), an official Florida Tech TOEFL (paper-based) with an earned score of at least 550
