在这里学什么? u200bu200bu200bTu200bu200bhe study of Creative Writing at Cardiff Met forms part of the u200bBA Humanities and Education Joint Honours programmeu200b withinu200bu200b the Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy.u200bThe Creative Writing element of your degree will develop your thinking through textual and practical exploration, and equip you with a wide variety of writing skills and methodologies in relation to different genres (fiction, poetry, scriptwriting, non-fiction, etc.). You will be encouraged to consider textual influence and experiment with different styles. At the core of the degree is your development as a writer and the honing of skills that you can use to find jobs in a variety of creative industries such as publishing, journalism and marketing. You'll cultivate your individual voice and writing style through revision and editing, and share your writing and thinking with your fellow students in a supportive and evaluative environment. We encourage and support our students to seek publication and to develop a writing portfolio for prospective employers.The Media element of your degree combines theoretical analysis of media, such as film, TV and digital media with practical skills in digital media, media writing and journalism, with particular focus given to 'specialist journalism', such as film, music, fashion and sports journalism. Taught by academic staff who u200bare current practitioners and researchers, this distinctive degree subject also has a strong employability focus allowing students to combine theoretical perspectives with practical vocational skills. Students will graduate with strong communication and analytical skills that are highly valued in today’s employment market. These skills are reinforced by work placements. As part of a Joint honours degree the programme is well integrated and encourages students to make connections across the curriculum. As well as a rich and varied academic focus, the course also benefits from exciting extra-curricula opportunities, including visiting media professionals and cultural excursions. Students also have the opportunity to build a portfolio of work by contributing to and regularly publishing work in a number of University and external publications.所属院系
