在这里学什么?Elementary Education at SIUE
The elementary education program in the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior is a collaborative agreement between SIUE and public school districts. Classroom teachers, university professors and faculty supervisors in the Department of Teaching and Learning work together to provide elementary education majors a unique opportunity to regularly interact with students in grades 1-6. This program addresses both the national standards set by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation and the Association for Childhood Education International and state standards set by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Career Opportunities
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the elementary education field is expected to grow 12 percent through 2022 and teacher education programs at SIUE have an exceptional record of preparing highly effective early childhood, elementary, middle level, special education and secondary education teachers. Our graduates also pursue careers as literacy specialists, teacher leaders, principals, superintendents, and training and organizational development specialists in both corporate and nonprofit sectors.
