专业概况

Designed for students seeking intensive study with a major artist-teacher and performance experience to develop into a highly qualified professional musician. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in music or its equivalent as well as substantial solo and ensemble repertoire.

Curriculum

The Master of Music in Performance: Wind & Percussion Instruments requires a minimum of 31 credits. Coursework to include:

Private lessons Ensemble participation Non-Performance SMTD electives Small Brass, Percussion, or Woodwind Ensemble

Final Project

The presentation of a recital.

Students may elect to pursue a double-major in Performance & Chamber Music, which may be completed in two years.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or Complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. Other English Language Requirements: Paper/Pencil TOEFL & TWE score of 560; MELAB score of 80.
