Designed for students seeking intensive and specialized professional training in chamber music. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in piano or its equivalent, along with substantial solo and ensemble repertoire.

Curriculum

The Master’s of Music in Chamber Music: Winds & Percussion requires a minimum of 31 credits. Coursework to include:

Private lessons Ensemble participation Non-performance SMTD electives

Final Project

Presentation of a recital to include two major chamber works and one concerted sonata for the major instrument and piano.

Students may elect to pursue a double-major in Chamber Music & Performance, which may be completed in two years.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or Complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. Other English Language Requirements: Paper/Pencil TOEFL & TWE score of 560; MELAB score of 80.
