By combining the studies of Anthropology and Archaeology, you will gain a thorough understanding of the close connections between the study of past peoples and our knowledge of people and cultures in the present.

Your intensive studies of human culture and behavior will address some of society’s most compelling questions on war, gender, discrimination, racism and social control. Open a window to the past under the direction of some of Australia's most respected archaeologists and receive hands-on, practical archaeological training, including field methods and laboratory analysis.

Career outcomes

As a graduate you will be equipped with the skills needed for a career in; environmental impact assessment, cultural heritage management, museums and curatorial industries, overseas aid and development, social and cultural policy and planning, land management, community development, health advocacy, education and a range of other government and community occupations.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
