Evaluate modern commercial law practice

The Commercial Law specialization will develop your progressive understanding of legal theory, and the impact of globalization on the laws which govern business, commerce and consumer transactions. Your research will cover the latest developments within Commercial Law practice, and expand your awareness of current developments affecting the legal sector.

The flexible course structure in the Master of Laws may give you the opportunity to select either a second specialization, or an additional four courses from those listed below.

• Comparative Law
• International Law
• Public Law
• Sustainable Development

A significant component of your degree will be research-based. You will become proficient in legal research, advanced legal writing and critical thinking through a series of guided research projects. Should you wish to complete a doctoral degree, the Master of Laws (Commercial Law) is an ideal pathway.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have Australian university three or four-year Bachelor degree in an approved discipline, or equivalent. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.5 (or better)(no component lower than 6.0); TOEFL (paper based) score of 570 (with a minimum Test of Written English score TWE 5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 230 (with an essay rating of at least 5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 90 (or better) (with 20 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 58 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 58); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)/ C1 Advanced or Proficiency (CPE)/C2 Proficiency with a score of 176 or above. No less than 169 in each skill.
