专业概况

在这里学什么？

Students who have undertaken the Civil Systems major will be able to rigorously integrate fundamental science to provide accurate information and optimum solutions to practical problems involving civil infrastructure. More specifically, core skills and knowledge that will be developed include: fundamental scientific comprehension that will lead to accurate computer modelling of civil systems, analytical and abstract thinking, problem-solving and design skills, ability to carry out laboratory experiments to eliminate or confirm possible solutions to complex problems. In all levels of this major, we will ensure the development of excellent communication skills that will enable our graduates to deliver complex scientific information in a clear and concise fashion. The Civil Systems major will provide various pathways for students. These include accredited professional or scientific research careers in civil engineering through further study in the Masters in Engineering (ME) or PhD programs. Professional masters courses in other disciplines such as education, law, or business will be available. Students may also choose to enter the workforce at the completion of their undergraduate degree with employers who value the range of scientific, technical and problem solving skills graduates will have developed.

为来自中国的学生设计 To be eligible for entry to an undergraduate degree you must fulfill all of the following requirements: Complete the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an overseas qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12. English language requirements: TOEFL - Paper based test - a score of 577 or more including a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English. Internet based test - a score of 79 and scores of: Writing: 21, Speaking: 18, Reading: 13, Listening 13. IELTS (Academic) - an overall band score of 6.5 or more in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0. Pearson Test of English (Academic) - an overall score of between 58-64 inclusive and achieve no PTE communicative skills score below 50. Cambridge English: Advanced/Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - A Cambridge English Score of 176 with no skill below 169.
