上海枫叶国际学校范同学在高中期间参加并获得滑铁卢数学竞赛前25%，进入China Thinks Big 半决赛，被伦敦大学国王学院、爱丁堡大学、女皇大学、墨尔本大学、多伦多大学、麦克马斯特大学、悉尼科技大学、纽卡斯尔大学等近十所世界名校录取。

During high school, she participated in and won the top 25% of the Waterloo mathematics competition, and entered the semi-finals of China Thinks Big. She was awarded by King's College London, University of Edinburgh, Queen's University, University of Melbourne,University of Toronto, McMaster University, University of Technology Sydney, Newcastle University and other top 10 universities in the world.

临近毕业，回望自己在海枫的三年，校内外丰富多彩的活动在我的高中生活中占据着重要的位置。在此，我想和大家分享其中两次于我而言印象深刻的活动经历，以及从中我得到的收获和成长。

2017年，我参加了由滑铁卢大学举办的伽罗瓦竞赛。一开始，我对自己并没有十足的信心，所以我非常的努力，当我遇到一些困难，我会去询问我的数学老师，我们会一起攻克这些难题。在准备比赛的过程中，我发现自己慢慢和老师、同学们变得更加亲密。在这个过程中，更多时候，我甚至觉得名次其实不是那么重要，体验这个过程就足够了。幸运的是，最后我获得了此次竞赛前25%的参赛选手名次，并取得了学校的最高分，我很感谢这次经历，让我变得更加自信，也使我知道过程的成长比名次更宝贵。

升入高二年级以后，我和其他同学组成了一个团队，参加由美国哈佛大学学院协会举办的“中国思考大创新研究挑战赛”。我们的项目是研究网络名人店的食品和配料的安全性。这是我参加过**规模的研究性学习活动，很快我便感受到了压力，我几乎把所有的空闲时间都花在了这次比赛的筹备上。为了得到最准确的数据，我们前往实体商店，通过沟通与合作获取一些额外的信息。在充分准备以及前期与不同商家沟通的过程中，我变得更加自信且游刃有余。因此挑战赛开始后，我与面试官的交流也变得更加大胆。虽然最终我们只获得了进入半决赛的机会，但我仍然很感谢这次经历。这次比赛让我**了承担责任，懂得了团队合作的重要性。也许我们不能独自解决所有的问题，但当我们一起合作，融入集体的智慧时，可能就会爆发出巨大的能量。

最后我想说，我很感谢上海枫叶给了我这么多可以展现自己，提升自我的机会，并且最重要的，枫叶也**了我自律的品质和主动学习的方法。

I am Cindy, the outstanding graduate of maple leaf international school in Shanghai in 2019. When I review the entire three years in the high school, lots of the activities, not only in school, but also outside the school, they all have improtant roles in my life. I would like to share two of them about my experience and achievements.

During the year of 2017, I attended a Galois Contest which was held by University of Waterloo. At the beginning, I was not confident about myself so that I tried extremely hard. When I met some difficulties, I asked my teachers and sometimes, we solved them together. During the preparation, I became closer to my teachers and classmates. Sometimes, I would think about the price was not that important, the experience was wonderful enough. Luckily, I got the price of top twenty-five percentage of contestants and the highest score in my school, I was thankful to this experience that I knew the happiness was much more precious than the price.

In Grade 11, I was invited to a team to have a competition which named China Thinks Big Innovation Research Challenge which was held by Harvard College Association for U.S.-China Relations. Our project was to research the safety of food and ingredients at cyber celebrity stores. This was the biggest group work I attended ever. I soon felt the pressure and I almost spent all of my free time on this competition. In order to get the most accurate data, my teammates I went to some local stores to get some extra information and details. At the start of the interview, I was so shy that it got embarrassed between the interviewee and me. However, later on, I became much bolder and I could talk more with others. Although we only got the chance to get into the Semi-Final of this competition, I was still thankful for this experience. This competition taught me to be responsible and understand the importance of teamwork. Maybe we couldn't solve everything by ourselves, we might have huge power when we work together.

I am very grateful to Maple Leaf International School in Shanghai for giving me so many opportunities to show myself and improve myself, and maple leaf has also taught me self-discipline and autonomy.
