尊敬的各位领导、老师，亲爱的家长、同学们:

Distinguished leaders and teachers, dear parents and students:

大家下午好!

Good afternoon!

我是毕业班学生高远的家长，高远上个月拿到了多伦多大学的录取通知书，今天作为家长代表站在这里发言，我感到无比的开心和荣幸!

I am the father of Gao Yuan from the graduating class. Last month he received the offer from University of Toronto. Today I feel more than privileged and happy to give a speech as the parent representative.

三年前，我和在座同学的家长一起，**次探访了枫叶校区，当时尘土飞扬，机器隆隆，家长们都懵了，这哪是学校呀，简直就是一个大工地!有的家长就犯嘀咕了，这样的环境适合办学吗?孩子们能静下心来学习吗?但本着对枫叶教学体系的认同，怀着对枫叶首届学生必将获得成功的强烈期许，家长们选择了相信，选择了支持!

Three years ago, together with all the parents here today, we visited Shanghai Maple Leaf Campus for the first time. At that time the site is still under construction, some parents are doubt if the environment is suitable for students to study. But as all the parents believe in Maple Leaf Education and the expectation for our first graduating class, we choose to believe and support!

在学校的倡导下，家长们自发成立了家委会，我有幸成为了上海枫叶学校首届家委会会长，见证并参与了家校共建的过程，家长们献言献策，捐款捐物，为学校的发展壮大贡献了一份力量。“可怜天下父母心”，在座的各位同学，是不是应该为大爱付出的家长们鼓掌!

With initiative, parents have established the Parents Committee, and I feel honored to be the Presidents of the first Parents Committee at MLIS-SH. Parents have witnessed and participated in the process of school development, including offering suggestions and donations. Dear students, I think we should thank our most beloved parents!

三年来，我近距离接触了枫叶的多位老师，并被他们的敬业精神深深打动。这里有和同学们打成一片的白晨曦白老师，这里有爱生如子的张琳琳张老师，这里有治学严谨的樊锦瑞樊老师。

For three years, I have made acquaintance with many committed teachers, including Ms Lainey Zhang and Mr Jerry Fan.

说到樊老师，我们之间还有一段小插曲，高二分班的时候，我儿子高远因为行为规范不符合要求，没有分到周恩来班级，我私下和樊老师沟通，看能否通融，谁知道樊老师断然拒绝，没给我这个家委会会长一点面子，当时我还有些不高兴，现在看来，我们应该为樊老师这种坚持原则，严谨办学的行为点赞!

I also had a story with Mr Fan. Last year, my son did not meet the standard of Zhou Enlai class. I talked to Jerry wishing he can provide an exception, but he seriously refused me. We should also extend our appreciation for his sticking to principle.

“待到山花烂漫时，她在丛中笑”!今天，在枫叶学校首届毕业典礼上，看到同学们都取得了理想的成绩，拿到了心仪大学的录取通知书，我相信，此时此刻，最最开心的，就是我们的老师们。我提议，同学们，也请家长们，举起你们的双手，把你们最最热烈的掌声送给我们最可爱的人!

Today on the first graduation ceremony, we are happy to see the students achieve their goals and get their ideal offers. I believe now the happiest people are our teachers. I suggest students and parents, let us applaud for our beloved teachers!
