上海枫叶国际学校2015年上学期末的一封信

1. Final Report Cards 期末成绩单:

1.1 Grade 10. Math 10 and Science 10 Provincial exams will be written in June wit final results available in August. Our Academic Advisors will inform students of their grades when the students return in the fall. The English 10 exam will be written later, probably in May, 2016, to ensure higher marks.

10 年级：6 月份将进行Math10 和Science10 省考，最终成绩将在8 月发布。课程指导老师将在学生暑假结束返校后发放成绩。为确保成绩，English10 可能在2016 年5月进行考试。

1.2 Grade 11. The Socials 11 provincial exam results will be available in August. The Academic Advisors will inform students of their final grade in the fall.

11 年级：Socials11 省考成绩8 月可以拿到。课程指导老师将在学生暑假结束返校后发放成绩。

1.3 Failures. We have a very high student pass rate in all courses; however, students who have failed graduation courses will have two options: students with above 45% in the course may complete a credit recover package upon return in September. They will work supervised in the library for two weeks after school. Students with below 45% will have to retake the course.

补考：我们的考试***很高，但是没有通过必修课程考试的学生有两个选择：45%分数以上的学生可以在9 月返校后补修该课程。他们需要在放学后在图书馆补习两周。45%分数以下的学生需要重修整门课程。

2. Timetables. Mr. Webster has created the timetable for September. Grade 11 students have been making changes and can make more changes up until September 11. Current Grade 10 students can see Mr. Webster or the Academic Advisors upon return in the fall. We will adjust the semester two timetable slightly if necessary.

时间表：杰夫正在安排下学期的时间表。11 年级学生的课程表将在9 月11 日最终确定。目前10 年级学生可以在秋季返校后约谈杰夫或课程指导老师。如有必要，我们将略调整下学期的时间表。

3. Changes for September. We are very pleased with our progress this year, with marks equal or better than other established Maple Leaf Schools. We are, however, making changes to our program to further develop student capacity and increase student grades.

新学期调整：我们本学年的进步是很显著的，在所有枫叶校区中，我们的成绩名列前茅。然而我们将会根据实际情况调整课程计划，让学生充分发挥自己的能力，提高成绩。

3.1 We will continue to monitor the use of electronic devices such as cell phones and ipads. These devices can help students or hinder their progress.

我们将继续严格管理电子设备(手机、iapd 等)的使用。这些设备在帮助学生学习的同时，也影响了他们的学习。

3.2 We will continue to stress the importance of student notebooks.

我们将继续强调做课堂笔记的重要性。

3.3 We need Grade 12’s to take a stronger leadership role in speaking English outside of class time. This will be necessary if we are to become an elite school.

我们需要12 年级做好带头作用，多在课余时间说英语。如果我们想成为一所精英学校，这点很重要。

3.4 Our new principal is Mr. Mark Wuerch, he is an experienced BC principal who is very excited about moving to China. Mr. Webster will continue as the Vice Principal.

我们的新校长：Mark Wuerch 是一位经验非常丰富的BC 校长，他很高兴能来中国。杰夫将继续做为课程副校长。

3.5 Our library has increased the number of fiction and non-fiction over the past year, we now have a very good library available for students.

在过去的一年中，我们的图书馆增加了很多书籍，现在能满足学生的各种阅读需求。

3.6 We have budget for senior science courses and will improve the quality and quantity of necessary resources for our senior Biology, Physics and Chemistry classes.

我们现在已经有高三科学课程的预算，高三的生物、物理和化学课都会有相应的教学设备及仪器。

4. Summer Reading Project 暑假阅读计划.

To encourage students to improve their English skills over the summer, our BC staff have included a summer project. This project is not for course credit, but those who can illustrate their learning upon return in September will be eligible for some prizes! Students will also be better prepared for the rigors of senior high school courses.

为了鼓励学生们在暑假提高自己的英语水平，我们设计了一个暑期阅读作业。这虽然不是一个学分项目，但在9 月返校后表现优秀的学生将会得到奖品。所有学生同时也需要准备好下学期更严格的课程。
