If you want to learn more about the way we communicate and the effect the media has on our world, the Bachelor of Arts (Contemporary Media Studies) is for you.

This degree combines the study of communication theory with the development of communications skills. You will analyze the areas of language, film, television, culture and social media, while learning about interpersonal, group and mass communication, as well as communication in multicultural societies.

Learn from lecturers with decades of experience in mass communication fields and benefit from their networks of contacts in the media and public relations industries.

Communication and media studies will prepare you for a career in public relations, communication policy, management, administration, arts and culture industries, media, teaching and community development.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
