专业概况

在这里学什么？ Chemistry is a fascinating area of science and central to understanding the world around us. Studying the distinctive programme at Kent, you are involved in live research and develop skills that can be applied to some of the key challenges of the 21st century – such as human health, environmental issues and the world’s increasing energy demands. The chemical industry is central to the modern world economy and chemistry graduates have a wide range of employment options open to them in oil, gas, energy and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in consumer products.At the School of Physical Sciences we link our world-leading research on materials chemistry to our undergraduate programmes – which are all accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry. All practical classes take place in our newly refurbished laboratories, where you use the latest equipment.On our exciting new course you spend the third year of this four-year degree at another University, which could include one of our partner institutions in the USA, Canada and Hong Kong. As well as getting the chance to experience new cultures and places, you will be able to study a mix of science and non-science modules– broadening your horizons and opening more career opportunities.We also offer the chance to further increase your employability by completing our Chemistry with a year in industry or work as part of a research group conducting cutting-edge research on our MChem as well as our a three year BSc.
