Every experience is an amazing journey. For me , the most meaningful study is here in Maple Leaf International School.

Although it begins only two days ago and come along with some obstacles, I can feel that I’m really changing gradually during these days.

I wake up at 5:50 every morning with the rings of alarm clock. My new day also starts with the sentence on the wall “Try your best to pass the 4BC exam!”. Then I am full of energy and power to fight for the day. I know, it is important for me to always study hard.because I’m holding so many dreams and I really want to make them come true.

Firstly , let me tell you about my subjects. Apparently, among all the points, it is no doubt that listen to the teachers carefully in class is the most important. Here in Maple Leaf, the teaching strategies are quiet different from my hometown, for example, our English classes are English only, we need to cooperate with our classmates during the lessons a lot,etc. Different classes have different ways of inspiration.

In the reading and vocabulary lesson, our field of vision can be wised, and our word banks can be expended. In the communication lesson, we are allowed to study English from foreign teachers and our spoken language skills improve quickly. Among all the lessons, the writing class is my favourite. The lady who teaches me is kind and responsible (a little bit strict when we are naughty). Through these day’s learning, our grammar is raised and that’s essential for us to write more professional articles. It will be a great foundation that can help us to pass the 4BC exam. In the maths and science lesson, we need to solve many questions in English. I think it’s an amazing study process. Although the maths problems are easy for me, I still need to remember all the English terms first. I reckon I have to pay more attention on that.

There’s a common idea among all of these lessons: every topic needs to be discussed by a group as everyone is included, and then every group need to present their thoughts in order. I am quite excited about this form of study!

Then to my self-arrangement, I think I’m more independent than the days at home, and I have learnt how to look after myself, how to get alone well with others. I rejoice that the school environment teaches me how to adapt to the meaningful life . I’m getting more confident now.

Just as Chaplin said: You have to believe in yourself, that’s the secret of success. Every dog has it’s day, if you have dreams and try your best, at last ,you will be successful.

I will never forget my first summer school experience.
