上海枫叶国际学校张同学曾获滑铁卢数学竞赛top20%，进入China Thinks Big 半决赛，获世界十强大学伦敦大学学院、帝国理工学院双录取，同时也获多伦多大学等近十所世界名校录取。以下是张同学三年枫叶生活回顾。

在枫叶的三年高中生活是充实的三年。

所谓“充实”，在努力学习的同时，我参加了“中国思想大创新研究挑战赛”，为了研究网络名人店的食品安全以及他们的原料是否与其他商家和店铺不同，我们实地参观了一家面*店的制作室，了解它的制作流程和独特的制作工艺。在这个过程中我与我的同伴获取了一些原材料，通过对比发现，燕麦麸粉即使对营养含量高、脂肪含量低的糖尿病患者，其产品也更健康。最后，通过实验我们研究出由于燕麦中的活性成分β-葡聚糖集中在其麸皮中，因此燕麦麸制成的食物在降低血糖、血压、血脂和便秘方面的作用更好。在此基础上，我们编写了一份相关数据的报告，这让我的研究能力和批判性思维得到了极大锻炼。

与此同时，在枫叶三年中，我报名参加了2017和2018年度滑铁卢大学举办的数学竞赛，并获得了前20%的成绩。通过参加这些国际赛事，接触更多来自世界各地不同教育环境和教育背景下的学生，这在一定程度上也开拓了我的国际视野。暑假期间，我还参加了马尔代夫义工团队，在观赏异国景色参与公益活动的同时，也锻炼了我的独立自理能力。

就我个人而言，我认为提前规划非常重要，从高一开始我就明确了大学专业方向是药理学，基于此，我阅读了大量相关书籍，在高二和高三年级也根据专业选择了对应的课程。有人说枫叶的教学环境是相对宽松自由的，但也恰好是它的“轻松”才给予了我更多的空间和时间去参加校内外的拓展活动，也给了我全方面提升自己的机会。

I am Ivy Zhang, an outstanding graduate of the 2019 Shanghai Maple Leaf International School. I am fortune to be admitted to nearly ten world-famous universities including the University of London, Imperial College of Technology, and the University of Toronto.

While learning hard, I participated in "China Thinks Big Innovation Research Challenge". To research the food safety of cyber celebrity stores and whether their raw materials were different from those of others, I visited the making room of one bakery and got some raw materials from it with my teammates. In the following contrast, we discovered that with oat bran powder, its products were much healthier for even diabetics with higher nutrient content and lower fat content. Since beta-glucan, the active ingredient in oat, is concentrated in its bran, food made by oat bran functions better in reducing blood sugar, blood pressure, blood lipid and constipation. Based on the above, we wrote a report with related data, progressing a lot in research ability and critical thinking.

Later, as a goal-oriented person, I participated in the "Galois Contest" and "Hypatia Contest" held by University of Waterloo in 2017 and 2018, ranking top 20%. During the summer vacation, I also participated in the Maldives volunteer team. While watching the exotic scenery, I also exercised my independence.

Based on my determination of college majors, I also read related books. Some people say that the teaching of Maple Leaf is loose, but it is just that its relaxing teaching system to give me opportunities to participate in activities and enhance myself.
