With USQ’s Bachelor of Business and Commerce majoring in finance you will learn about the financial side of running a business, namely managing money and investments. You will cover the fundamentals of financial environments and modern analytical techniques and apply your study to various areas of the finance spectrum, learning the ins and outs of business finance, stock broking, investment management, international financial management and financial economics.

You also have the option to choose a second major from a range of business and commerce fields to shape the career you want and strengthen your position. For example, a double major in accounting and finance is one of our most popular combinations.

Professional accreditation

Finance major graduates will meet the educational entrance requirements to become a member of the Financial Services Institute Australia (Finsia).

With your Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) your career opportunities will include financial services, banker, insurance, funds manager, financial analyst, industrial analyst, investment analyst, investment banker, security analyst, underwriter, options/future trader, treasury, foreign exchange trader/officer, share trader, lending officer, finance officer, corporate or policy adviser, business consultant, and research officer.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
