The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Bachelor of Business and Commerce will give you the skills to become a successful engineer in the workforce, combined with a strong background of business and commerce principles and practice.

It’s an advantage for engineering graduates to have business or commerce qualifications early in their career as they are often required to manage complex projects with both tight schedules and budgets.

This combined degree enables you to gain credentials in both disciplines in a shorter time than if you were completing two separate degrees. It incorporates theoretical knowledge with practical experience to help you become successful in whichever career pathway you choose.

Professional accreditation

A graduate of this program is eligible to apply for membership of Engineers Australia as a graduate Engineer. After further professional development, a graduate member with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) may apply for chartered status as a Professional Engineer and, when granted, may use the post-nominal MIEAust CPEng.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program is accredited by Engineers Australia and, through an agreement reached between the professional engineering bodies of other countries (the Washington Accord), is also recognised in the United Kingdom, the Unites States of America, Canada, Ireland, Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Africa.

Accounting major graduates will meet the educational entrance requirements of CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). This provides Associate membership of CPA Australia, eligibility to study the CPA professional exams and eligibility to study the ICAA professional exams. Successful completion of the Accounting major can qualify students for exemptions from the Fundamental level (9 papers) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams. Finance major graduates will meet the educational entrance requirements to become a member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia).

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
