Take the next step in your career with USQ’s Bachelor of Engineering Science (Electrical and Electronic). The Bachelor of Engineering Science will give you the freedom of choice to start your career right away or to set a stepping stone for further study.

Why Electrical?

USQ’s Electrical Engineering program gives you the opportunity to get hands-on with modern electronic technology. With practical studies you will work with transmitters, microprocessors, power electronic converters, robotics, fiber optics and motors to prepare you for work out in the field. Electrical engineers design, build and operate electrical devices and systems from small scale transmitters to major projects in the fields of medicine, power and technology.

Professional accreditation

As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you will be eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining some experience from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist.

Career outcomes

With your graduate expertise, you’ll be able to secure a career as an Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technologist with major power companies including Ergon Energy, Origin and Energex.
