Gain quantitative and problem-solving skills to increase your competitiveness in the job market with the only university in Queensland providing the option to study a Statistics major completely via online study. Your study in Statistics can be combined with the other majors within Bachelor of Science, but could also pair well with other disciplines around the University, such as Engineering, IT, Accounting, or Marketing to expand your career opportunities. Examine the fundamentals of theoretical and applied statistics, mathematical modelling and operations research, as well as practical methods for undertaking analysis, modelling and decision-making.

Do you want to graduate with good career prospects? There is currently a shortage of professional statisticians across a range of industries in Australia. Graduates of this degree can find work with the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the Queensland Treasury. 为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
