Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the graduating Class of 2016, and I welcome them as the newest alumni of Montverde Academy.

女士们，先生们， 我正式向大家介绍我们2016级的毕业生们，欢迎他们成为梦沃国际学校的校友。

Today marks an end of one phase of life, but it is also a beginning:

今天标志着他们人生中一段时光的结束，也标志着一个新篇章的开始。

we sometimes call this ceremony “commencement,” which indicates it as a starting point.

英文中我们通常用“commencement”这个词来表示毕业典礼，而这个词本身就是开始的意思，也就是说，毕业典礼意味着新的开始。

Today, they end their high school careers and begin the next part of their journeys.

今天，他们就要结束高中生涯，开启人生的下一段旅程。

The paths they will take are individual ones, whether it is to Miami or Fordham, to UC-xadDavis or Rutgers, but they enter that journey as partners in Montverde Academy’s vision.

今天，他们就要分离，各奔前程，但无论是去迈阿密还是福德姆，无论是去加州大学戴维斯分校还是罗格斯大学，他们都不会孤单，作为梦沃校友，他们会一直相互扶持。

As alumni, they join the more than 100 years of fellow Academy graduates around the world.

梦沃国际学校已有一百多年的历史，我们的校友遍布世界各地。

Graduates: We know that the foundation you have build here has prepared you with the knowledge you will need to become leaders in the next phase of your lives, but more importantly, we know that you are young people who will lead with character and compassion, with a clear understanding of the value of strong personal relationships with those in your communities.

亲爱的毕业生们： 我们知道你们在梦沃已经打下了良好的基础，已具备相关的知识和技能，可以在未来的人生中成为领导者。不过更重要的是，我们知道你们会成为拥有个性且充满热忱的领导者，清晰地认识到一个大家庭中良好人际关系的重要性。

As you depart, I will ask that you always remember this community, your Montverde family, that you maintain and continue to develop the relationships you have built here.

你们就要离开这里，踏上征程。 我希望你们能够永远记得这个大家庭，你们的梦沃大家庭，也希望你们能够保持并深化在这里建立的情谊。

As your journeys carry you forward in life, please remember to come home from time to time, to visit your school, both here and in Florida, so that we can all share in the happy news of the successes your life will surely hold. 也希望你们能经常回梦沃看看，上海梦沃也好，弗罗里达总校也好。

Parents: We know that our students’ success is a result not only of their hard work, but also of your generous and unwavering support.

敬爱的家长们：我们知道孩子们的成功是他们努力学习的结果，但也离不开你们慷慨且坚定不移的支持。

As a school, we know that every good thing we can do depends entirely upon the strong partnerships we have with families, so I want to thank you for your partnership in supporting our graduates.

我们也知道，作为学校，我们所有的成就都离不开你们的支持与协作。在此，我代表学校和学生谢谢你们!
