2016年8月24日是上海枫叶国际学校2016年初高中新生开学报到的日子，接下来迎接他们的是为期五天的军训生活。当晚学校举行了军训动员暨开营仪式，军训教官也和同学们见了面。对于即将到来的军训生活，高一(8)班的詹欣越和高一(5)班的蔡明祺作为参训学生代表在现场发言并表达了认真军训的决心。下面让我们一起来看看他们的发言内容。

詹欣越Jenny 高一(8)班学生

尊敬的各位领导、老师、亲爱的同学们：

大家晚上好!

今天很荣幸能够作为学生代表进行发言。

我是高一(8)班的詹欣越，旁边是我的搭档，来自高一(5)班的蔡明祺。

时间过得真快。一转眼为期三周的暑期班已经结束，接下来迎接大家的就是军训了。

环顾枫叶四周，仿佛还记得刚来到这儿时的兴奋，与父母说完再见后，开始了新的学习生活。虽然与以往不同的全英文教学使课程增加了些许难度，但同时也增加了同学们上课的热情度以及新鲜感。同学们上课积极发言，以小组形式制作海报。在暑期班期间，还举办了许多不同的活动，例如达人秀、诗歌集以及单词拼写比赛等，每一次活动都无比震撼人心。

明天我们将正式开启为期5天的军训，我相信这次军训一定会给我们带来全新且难忘的人生体验。希望我们每个人都能以高昂的斗志经受军训的锤炼并获得成长。

最后，我想说，行动胜于语言。

尊敬的领导与老师们，请相信我们，我们一定尽全力做比较好的自己。

Dear leaders, teachers and students,

Good evening,

It is my great honor to stand here and have a host speak.

I am Jeremy from HR 5 , this is my partner Jenny from HR 4 .

How time flies. The three-week Summer School course has already been finished. And now we are looking forward to facing the military training.

Looking around the Maple Leaf, we all still remember the first day we came here. After saying goodbye to our parents ,we started our new study life here.It is different from the past, teachers speak English in the class and we may feel a little bit more difficult than ever before. But in the meanwhile, the courses also increase our high enthusiasm and fresh feelings. Students all took active part in the class, listened carefully ,answered actively and made a poster in teamwork. During the summer course, we hosted many activities ,such as talented show, poetry book and words-spelling competition. Each activity was very splendid.

Tomorrow we will start our five-day military training life. I believe the military training will bring all of us a very new and unforgettable experience in our memory. I hope everyone here can get through the military training in your high spirit and achieve the grow-up.

In a word, I would like to say, action speaks louder than words.

Honorable leaders and teachers, please believe us, we will try our best to be personal best.
