2015学年上海枫叶国际学校开学典礼校长致词

Good Morning, my dear colleagues and students,

尊敬的各位老师、亲爱的同学们： 大家早上好!

Today is September 1st. The new semester is coming. We are delighted to come back to the familiar and beautiful campus, which is full of our teachers and students’ happy laughter and big smiles once again.

今天是九月一日，满怀着喜悦的心情，带着美好的憧憬，我们又迎来了新学年，大家又回到熟悉而美丽的校园。我们的校园再一次洋溢着同学们和老师们朗朗的笑声和灿烂的笑脸。

What is more exciting is that we have 100 new middle school students and more than 200 Grade ten students this year. In addition, there are 20 Chinese staff and 8 Canadian teachers joining our faculty team. Let us greet them with warm applause to welcome them to be a member of the maple leaf family.

更值得高兴的是：我们还迎来了100多名初中新生和200多名高一的学生。我们的教师队伍也新增加了20中教和8位外教。同学们老师们，让我们以热烈的掌声，欢迎他们的到来，欢迎他们成为枫叶大家庭的一员!

A new semester is a chance to be a fresh start. To all the new comers, you need to adapt to the study and living environment as soon as possible in order to be prepared, to become true maple leafers in the near future.

新的学期，新的开始。 对于我们新同学们要尽快适应新学校的学习和生活，要尽快地成为一名真正的枫叶人。

To Grade 11 students, you are the core part of our campus. I hope all of you can play an important role in all school activities as well as academic performance. I know that the “Zhou Enlai Class” will be awarded in two weeks. To be outstanding maple leafers should be your goal.

高二的同学们，你们是咱们校园的中坚力量，希望你们能够积极参与各项活动，充分展示我们枫叶人的风采，同时，千万不可忽视了学习，要知道高二的学习成绩在申请大学的材料中起着举足轻重的作用。我知道第二届的周恩来班即将成立，希望你们成为我们全体枫叶人的骄傲。

To Grade 12 students, this is an unusual year, for it is the last year for you to study in senior high school and in China. So please cherish every day and work hard to realize your dream. As we all know, you are the first group of graduates of Maple Leaf school of Shanghai. We ,together with your parents, are sincerely looking forward to your good news about being admitted into your ideal universities! We will be proud of you, and are waiting for the day to celebrate it to come soon!

高三的同学们，今年注定是一个不同寻常的一年，因为这是你们高中生涯的最后一年，也是你们在祖国读书的最后一年，所以一定要珍惜和努力，用你们拼搏的汗水来实现你们理想。要知道，你们是上海枫叶学校的**届毕业生，承载着我们全体枫叶人以及你们父母的希望，等到你们的喜讯传来的那一天，我们全体师生和你们父母一起，为你们庆功、祝贺!

There is a saying in China goes that the wide sea allows the fish to leap about and vast sky the birds to fly; I sincerely hope all the staff and students take on a new look in this semester and keep running on your life path to your goal. We have every reason to believe that Maple Leaf School of Shanghai will have bright and brilliant future!

“海阔凭鱼跃，天高任鸟飞”。我希望所有的老师和同学们以最饱满的热情和激情，开始新的征程。我们完全有理由相信：上海枫叶学校的明天一定会更灿烂，更辉煌!
