Learn to capture and transform Big Data

With constant advances in technology, internet speed and social media, professionals are facing the challenge of capturing, storing, transferring and organising large quantities of data. USQ’s Bachelor of Information and Technology (Data Analytics) will equip you with cross-disciplinary skills to capture, process and interpret large volumes of data and communicate the valuable information to the intended audience.

You will explore computing, statistics, data mining, information systems, data management, sorting and presentation, as well as problem solving, project management, teamwork, communication and ethics.

USQ is currently seeking accreditation with the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

With the explosion of data, data analytics professionals are in high demand. Graduates will be well positioned to work as a data analyst, data scientist or data statistician in almost all job sectors including IT, public relations, retail, advertising and banking.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
