Explore Surveying

Are you interested in the impact or flooding, construction, mining or land use? Are you interested in a career in the outdoors working on land development, construction or mining projects? Explore the world of surveying with USQ’s Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying). Your studies will equip you with knowledge and skills in land and sustainable studies, geographical information systems, mining, construction, in Queensland or New South Wales cadastral surveying, or even both if you like. In addition, you can choose a research project in your fourth year to investigate specialist surveying topics.

Professional accreditation

When you graduate, you will eligible to apply for membership with the Surveying and Spatial Science Institute Australia.

USQ's Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying) is fully accredited by the Surveyors Board of Queensland and is recognized in every Australian state and in New Zealand through reciprocal arrangements. The degree, together with relevant industry experience, enables registration and/or licensing as a cadastral surveyor with the Boards of Surveyors in Australia and New Zealand.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
