Speech by MVA Shanghai Academic Dean Mr. Chris Moses

Graduates, families, and friends:

毕业生们，家长们，朋友们;

I offer my congratulations on behalf of the faculty.

我代表全体教职员工向毕业生们表示祝贺!

We are grateful for the opportunity to have taught you, and to have learned from you.

非常感谢能给我们教育你们的机会，我们也从你们身上学到了很多。

Education isn’t simply the acquisition of knowledge,the taking of tests and the calculation of GPAs; rather, it is about our growth as people, the broadening of our minds, and the strengthening of our integrity. Each of you has grown into fuller, more aware and more mature young adults during your time at MVA Shanghai.

教育不单单是获取知识，参加考试，计算GPA;更重要的是你们作为人的成长，思维的开阔以及品行的提升。在过去的梦沃时光里，你们不断成长，现在都已成为更加完善，更加有觉悟，更加成熟的年轻人。

You’ve been challenged to take risks, to explore beyond what’s easy and comfortable. These uncertain places are where real learning takes place – where genuine confidence and conviction can be gained, where you can let go of your own ego, where you can forget about the next deal or the share of profits you deserve, and focus on building something more valuable than your own self, of contributing to the world beyond the narrow horizons of your own interests.

在这里，你们走出舒适区，去冒险，去接受挑战!正是这些冒险与挑战让你们真正有所收获，不断成长!也正因如此，你们树立了强大的自信心和坚定的信仰，可以放下小我，放下眼前的甚至你们应得的利益，专注于去创造高于自身价值的东西，为这个世界做贡献，超越了专注个人利益的狭隘。

You’re now prepared to do just this, to venture forth into the world and to continue sharing the strengths and abilities you’ve begun developing in high school.

现在你们已经准备好去拥抱这个世界，用你们高中时代练就的能力为这个世界做贡献，并与他人分享。

We wish you all the best good fortune, and we look forward to knowing all the amazing things you do in the future. Congratulations again.
