2016年美国梦沃学校(上海)国际高中举办了万圣节，各个年级和班级都设计出了属于自己班级的万圣节文化：鬼屋，死亡迷宫，骷髅…Halloween：haunted house，Death Maze，skeleton......

8年级 G8

经历了一个周末，大家都精心策划了万圣节的活动。以雲黑天嘲为主题开展的一系列的活动。分为三个益智类的游戏：1、猜谜2、猜纸杯3、抽纸牌，而最后数字答对后有精美礼品。在之前同学们在一起做黑布还有不同的装饰，女生在装饰，男生也在配合女生已经后勤或者流程模拟等等。而且在周末时不同同学负责了不同的购买一次比一次好，能感受到我们这个集体体力的光芒。在万圣节狂欢的夜晚，教室门前放出了杀手锏干冰，竞技叠杯表演还有美食血浆饮料、爆炸棉花糖和不同的小蛋糕。班级的密室得到了老师与同学的好评。

Thanks to the organization of the Student Union and the conscientious preparation of the classes, we had a wonderful Halloween party on Monday night. At 8 o’clock, we had a fabulouscostume show. My classmates and I dressed up like monsters, ghosts, and demons,and more. Before the show began, we had transformed our classroom into a scaryhaunted house. After the show, we visited each other’s “ghost classrooms.” Wedesigned some games for our “ghost classrooms” as well. The visitors had tosolve a riddle, find a key, and pick a card in the darkness, where there werescattered broken arms and feet. Some of our classmates hid in lockers, andjumped out suddenly in order to scare visitors. I liked this part the most. Ifthe visitor, whether a teacher or a student from one of the other classes,successfully solved the riddle and found the key, they would get a gift. Ifthey didn’t, however, they would be punished. We also set up a stand in thehallway selling a drink that looked like blood, marshmallows, and cupcakes withsurprises. Everyone really liked our Halloween activity, and we enjoyedourselves very much. We also enjoyed preparing for the activity. Several of uswere assigned to go by Halloween decorations, and we kept surprising each otherin the store. We were also impressed by our collective power in bringingeveryone together to decorate the classroom.

9年级1班 G9.1

10月31日晚，全班同学都在为今年的万圣节做准备。今年，我们的主题是万圣节惊魂之“死亡迷宫”。我们称为寂静岭。

当你踏进寂静岭的那一刻，就说明你已经做好了准备，要挑战自己。黝黑寂静的小径可以算是你的**关，在路过这个布满蜘蛛网的黑色小径上陪同你的只有一个不靠谱的，神出鬼没的向导。你的第二关是智力与运气的挑战，在小径的尽头，有两个柜子，你需要选则一个，但只有一个里面有能救你队友的信息，向导会告诉你：“如果你选择了没有信息的柜子，将会有一个礼物送给你。”事实上，这份大礼就是一个鬼出现并切送给你一个可爱的蜘蛛，这都是向导深深的套路，因为不管如何你都会收到这份大礼。在游戏的深处你还会收到许多突如其来的惊喜。

On the night of Halloween, ourwhole class was ready for the Halloween party. This year, our class’ theme was the Halloween “Chill of Death Maze.” Wechanged our classroom into a haunted house, which we called the “silent hill.”

The moment you stepped into “silent hill,”you had to be ready to challenge yourself. The first challenge was walkingthrough a dark, silent, and cobwebbed lane with a phantom-like guide. Thesecond challenge tested your intelligence and luck. At the end of the lane,there were two lockers. One of them had the information to save your teammate.You were told to choose one of the lockers—“If you choose the locker that hasno information about the rescue, you will get a gift.”In reality, the gift wasa ghost popping out of the locker and throwing a giant spider at you. Becauseit was a set-up, no matter what locker you chose, you would receive the gift.As you continued through “silent hill,” you would receive more surprises.

9年级2班 G9.2

在万圣节活动的前两个星期，班里同学开始想搞什么活动，这时候一个同学冒出了鬼屋的点子，主题也是大家经过投票以后选择了FFF这个主题。

后来设计出了一个“凹”字形的路线，充分利用了教室的空间。之后班里一部分同学又组织一起去密室参考那边的布置。很多同学都很积极的带来了道具，“首富”李嘉辰同学还自费买了个烟雾机。同事用到了大量垃圾袋，教室里还用了红色颜料充当血迹制造恐怖气氛。

前面设计了一段需要爬的路，里面挂满垃圾袋，地上也放了一些糖果。如果找到的话就归你了。在爬出来之后会有人突然吓你。一片漆黑中会发现一双红色的发光眼睛看着你。往后走在隐蔽的角落都会有人来吓你，在诡异的BGM下会不会让你心惊胆战呢?

一次进去一个人(女生的话允许两个人进去)，里面都会有7个人在忙碌着。加上第二轮换班的同学，基本全班同学都参与了。中途还在抢修道具。每个人都尽力做好一切，去吓到每一位挑战者。有的同学甚至一直**到结束也没换班休息十分的辛苦。

这次活动大家都十分团结，从开始策划，到布置教室，到活动开始，以及结束后的打扫教室。大家都十分努力的去做好这一切。以后都会再接再厉的!

Two weeks before the Halloween Party,

Severalof the students in our class began to think about what activity we could havefor the Halloween party two weeks beforehand. One of our classmates had a coolidea: a haunted house! After class discussion and a vote, we choose “FFF”(Flaming Fire Force) as the theme of our activity.

Wedesigned a path for the visitors, which had the same shape as the Chinese character “凹,” in order to makefull use of the space in our classroom. Over the weekend, some of ourclassmates even went to a REAL haunted house together in order to get someinspiration for the design. Some of us brought in decorations for the activity.Jerry Li, for example, brought in a smoke sprayer. We also used lots of garbagebags (what a waste!) and some red paint to create a dark and scary atmospherein the haunted classroom.

Wedesigned a “crawling path” right next to the door. Visitors had to crawlthrough the whole path. Along the way, there were some candies for the visitorsto take. If you could reach them, you could take them. At the end of thecrawling path, there was a ghost sitting on a chair, waiting to scare you.There was also a terrifying human skeleton with red eyes. When you just beganto recover from the shock of the skeleton, another ghost would jump out. Do youthink you are brave enough to face these traps and scary music?

What’smore, in order to make the house even scarier, only one person was allowed tocome into the room at a time. All of the students took part in the activity,with two shifts of 7 people. Although some decorations broke halfway through, everyonetried their best to challenge each person. Some of my classmates were so dedicated,that they stayed in their post from beginning to end without any rest.

Fromthe beginning of designing the party to the end of the activity, we worked as afamily. We tried our best, and used all of our strength to put it together. Wewill continue to work hard as a big family!

9年级3班 G9.3

这次我们班的主题是迷宫，同学们用自己的创意精心布置教室，在没有任何机械工具的情况下我们自己在接近门口地方做出了一个定滑轮，会有一个同学在后面控制机关。除此之外，交错的桌椅所拼成的迷宫会让挑战者在黑暗中不借助光亮很难摸清道路。为了制造恐怖气氛，我们也事先准备好了BGM。我们将同学们分成四个组，在不同的时间段各个角落会有**人员埋伏，许多挑战者都被我们的**人员惊吓到了，但也有一名小可爱被参观者吓得不轻。在教室的各个角落还有糖果等着挑战者去搜寻。血祭午夜等待你的到来。

这次活动中，班级的全体同学都尽自己的一份努力，为班级尽自己的一份贡献。我们班许多同学都打扮成自己喜欢的人物，参与这次难得的活动。一些平时内向的同学也大胆的尝试，参与到这次活动中。

经过3个小时精彩的活动，大家都精疲力竭，都想回宿舍洗个热水澡睡觉觉了，但是大家都没有虎头蛇尾，坚持把教室打扫干净，才各自回到宿舍中休息。第二天学校又恢复了宁静，MVA的学子们又开始了新的一天。

We chose “chilling maze” as the theme of our Halloween activity. The studentsmeticulously chose decorations for their classroom. We set up a pulley by thedoor, a student operating it in the back. We also put together a maze of chairsand tables, that made it hard for people to navigate in the dark. We divided students into four groups, and had people from different time periods in everycorner of the classroom, waiting to ambush and frighten the other students. We also had candy in each corner for the students to find.

Everyone did their partto put this activity together. Many students came dressed as their favoritecharacters, with a few making some bold choices in costume.After three hours ofexcitement, everyone was exhausted.

We wanted to go back home to take a showerand go to sleep, but we stuck around to clean up. Everyone was quiet back atschool the next day, and things returned to normal.

10年级2班 G10.2

当学生会召集班长开会时，我好奇能是什么事呢。**一说，哦，马上万圣节了，作为一班之长，我得担当起这份重任，尽自己**努力，为班级做出点贡献。回到家的周末，我就在网上采购一些商品，使自己的教室能变得更漂亮，更具节日特色。货到的那一天，我就急着前往教室开始打扮一番。在同学的帮助下，教室焕然一新，使人眼前一亮，我也很满意自己**成果。希望以后班级活动也能如此顺利。

On the 11th of October, the Student Union called all the class monitorstogether for a meeting. The topic of the meeting was the upcoming Halloweenparty. This made me think that I must do my best to prepare for it—as amonitor, I must lead my classmates to do something great for our class. The following weekend, I bought some decorations online. I rushed to my classroomto decorate it the minute I received what I had bought. With the help of myclassmates, everything was prepared, and our classroom became more beautifulthan ever. All of our work was perfect. I hope we can do things as well as wedid this time for our next activity.

10年级3班 G10.3

这是一个非常有趣和精彩的万圣节。有很大一部分的同学和少部分的老师参与到了整个万圣节的活动中。昨日的情景还历历在目。学生大多数都变装成很多种不同的人物，令我印象深刻。最令我惊奇的是Ricky老师那搞笑的模样。在此之上，每个教室都有各自的特别之处。我们班的主题是血族，教室里充满了断手断脚等充满血腥的东西。有一部分同学在那里度过了难忘的时光。十二年级的墓地很逼真，仿佛身临其境。和同学们还有老师们*括我们的生活老师，一起来度过这个难过的万圣节，这是一个很好的经验。

This was an exciting and interesting Halloween. Most of the students and a fewteachers took part in our celebrations yesterday, which are still vivid to us.The students dressed in all different kinds of costumes, which really impressedus. I think the best moment was when Ricky gave us a little show, wearing apumpkin hat and brandishing a gun. It was hilarious!

Each classroom had its owntheme. We had broken legs, hands, and other stuff strewn about our classroom.The theme of our class was “vampires,” and we entertained a lot of students.The 12th grade created a cemetery with an eerie atmosphere. It wasan amazing experience, celebrating the festival with our classmates, teachers,and dorm parents.

10年级4班 G10.4

我们班级最有趣的装饰之一，就是悬挂在门口天花板上的透明骷髅。因为它是透明的，如果同学们进入没注意就会忽然觉得有人“触摸”到了你，而且这个人体骷髅是荧光的，在黑暗里会发出幽幽的绿光，格外符合万圣节的惊悚气氛。事实上，甚至是我们本班的同学都经常被吓到。

One of the most interesting decorations in our class was a transparent skeleton,suspended from the floor at the door.Because it was transparent, it made youfeel as though you were being touched as you walked by. It also glowed in the dark. Evenour own classmates continued to be frightened by it.

11年级1班 G11.1

十一年级一班的学生们在万圣节活动开始前抱有非常期待和兴奋的心情装扮起了他们的教室。大家饶有兴致的摆弄起那些万圣节的道具。精致可爱的小南瓜灯发出柔柔的黄色亮光，那些小鬼脸南瓜灯摆在讲台上有一种万圣节的气氛感。班里的男生们拿起准备好的电锯惊魂有关的道具—假的流血的断掉的胳膊、腿、脚和手，并且把它们摆放在教室的各个角落。

The students in our class were really looking forward to the Halloween party, and we were very excited to pick out the decorations. The cute littlejack-o-lanterns emitted a soft yellow light. Settled on the desk, the ghostfaces carved onto them created an atmosphere of Halloween. The boys placeddecorations from the film “SAW” onto various places inside the classroom.

11年级2班 G11.2

10月的最后一天，深受同学们欢迎的万圣节Party就要来了，大家都万分激动。早在一周前，同学们就确认了此次本班的活动主题是“行尸走肉”，并积极得提出各种装扮教室的意见，经过讨论我们最终确定了一个方案。由班主任采购了各种所需物品后，急不可耐的同学们当天下午便开始了教室的布置。五彩缤纷的南瓜灯和各种有趣的小彩旗被一一挂起，配上大家喜爱的动感音乐，教室里洋溢着愉快的节日气息。据说吴庭帆同学当晚的中东造型很受欢迎，吸引了众多目光，而史亦舟同学的伤痕装也化的惟妙惟肖，引人注目。11年级2班的教室更是当晚深受欢迎的聚集地之一，吸引了许多同学在此流连狂欢。这真是一个火热的夜晚!

On the last day of October, we were all looking forward to the Halloween party.The week before, we discussed the theme and decided on the “Walking Dead” forour party. The students proposed a lot of ideas for how to decorate theclassroom, but we finally reached an agreement. After all of the necessarymaterials had been purchased, we started to decorate the classroom. Withjack-o-lanterns, flags, and music playing, the classroom was ready for theparty. Matt’s costume of the Middle East was very popular, and Christinaimpressed the audience with her scars and bruises. Our classroom, Room 102, wasone of the most popular places at school that night, bringing a lot of studentsin. We had a magnificent Halloween!

12年级 G12

好吧，我们其实除了一个小姑娘以外并没有吓到任何人。当那小姑娘进来之后就一直不停因为我们布置的任何一个小东西尖叫。我们都很惊讶因为她实在太好吓了。我们为了创造出可怕的气氛所以用黑布和蜘蛛网来装饰房间，如果没有那小姑娘的话我们会失望。因为我们花了很多心思在计划还有想怎么样用很多种不同的东西吓人，结果并不是预料的那么好，但我们都因为有这样的经历开心。

To be honest, our “Garden of Death” theme did not terrify anyone except for a little girl. The girl screamed at every decoration in our classroom. We were all verysurprised by how scared she was. We decorated our room with black fabric and spider webs to make a spectral atmosphere. We would have been extremely disappointed had this one girl not been afraid. Even though we had put a lot oftime into planning and working out how to scare people, our results weren’t great,so we were grateful to have this reaction from the little girl.
