我们美国梦沃学校(上海)的印度之行的日子一天天临近，即使最近几乎每天都能听到Chris的倒计时，我个人其实并没有多少实感。要写一些关于我们这次项目的内容，花了一分多钟狂翻India WLS 2016 的消息，才发现自我正式地参与到WLS项目里，已经三个多月过去了。

The clock is ticking! Though recently Chris would count down the time for us more and more, personally I hadn’t started to worry about the trip or become excited for it. Then I found out I have been involved with WLS for more than 3 months. It takes 62 seconds to scan our WeChat group messages!

上学期后半段Chris和Larry开始了在同学们当中的宣传，在期末时我也与很多家长沟通交流。

Chris反复介绍自己几年前在这个印度村庄的经历，向家长和学生**WLS项目组织方的专业程度，最终有11位同学决定参加我们的这次活动。在此，十分感谢这11位同学的勇敢和坚定，以及契约精神。十分感谢这11位同学的家长支持和信任。这将是一个非常有意义的十一假期。

During the second half of last term, Chris and Larry started among the students of the propaganda, in the final when I was with a lot of parents communication.

To alleviate their worries, Chris introduced his experience in India several years ago and made promises about the professional quality of WLS. Finally, we attracted 11 determined students to attend this program. We applaud their bravery, consistency, and spirits of contract. We are also thankful for the support and trust from their parents. It will be a long, tough trip, but also a great national holiday for all of us.

暑假期间我们开始收集所有参与学生的护照信息，WLS项目方为我们解决了机票，住宿等问题，为我们的准备**尤其是药物、饮水和行李携带等方面提供专业的建议。开学伊始，Larry和我就开始了自己的印度签证申请**，从我们的经历看来，印度签证官还是相当友好的，印度支持中国公民电子签证的申请，而且**效率很高，为我们的后续**带来很大方便。

During the summer vacation we started to collect the passport information, and WLS got to work booking airplane tickets and arranging our lodging. They also helped us to prepare for medicine, drinking water and so on. Once the new semester started, Larry and I completed the visa applications.

9月7日下午，Larry和我与远在西班牙的Carlos(WLS项目方代表和领队)进行了视频会议，交流双方的准备**进展，确定后续**安排。Carlos非常乐观积极，我们的孩子一定会非常喜欢他!

9月8日，Chris和我赴上海市印度签证中心，确定我们这个团体可以使用电子签证获得单次旅游签证。

9月11日下午六点，所有的参与学生和家长在学校图书馆参加了我们的**次行前会议。Chris和Larry热情介绍了本次旅程的细节问题，*括孩子们将不允许使用手机，饮水和饮食的问题，行李打*等。并着手开始学生们的签证申请**。

On the 7th of September, Larry and I had the chance to talk to our WLS chaperone, Carlos from Spain. We had a fun chat about the work that had already been done and made plans for the next several weeks. Carlos is a cheerful guy and all of our students are going to love him!

On the 8th, Chris and I went to the Indian Consulate in Shanghai to make sure our group can get the visas all online. After meeting with the people there, we were confident that everything would go smoothly.On Sunday, the 11th of September, all the parents and kids attended our first full-group meeting before the trip. Chris and Larry passionately introduced the details we want them to be aware of, including the rules regarding cell phones, packing, and the importance of being careful with drinking water.

9月12日，我们正式开始了为我们的目的地小镇筹集善款的活动，获得了同事、家长和学生的大力支持。向学生们推荐Chloe in India这本简单深刻的故事书，希望可以帮助孩子们理解印度社会。

9月13日，Larry开始为同学们网上申请签证。这是一项极度考验耐心的**，需要学生及时提交所需的个人信息，为此Larry分批次召集学生，按小组为孩子们进行网申，为此牺牲了许多个人时间。一位学生由于护照即将到期，在申请签证时遇到了很大问题。在程豪校长，Bowen校长和刘校长的大力帮助之下，几经周折终于找到了解决问题的途径，感谢三位校长的帮助，以及家长的支持和理解。

Our fundraising for the village project officially started on the 12th, and we received a great deal of support from teachers, parents and students. We also recommend a book called “Chloe in India,” which is simple and profound, to our students, wishing it can provide a brand new perspective to understand Indian society.

Beginning on the 13th, Larry started to help our kids to apply for the visas. It was a time-consuming process, but everything went smoothly and all of the visas have been granted. One student met with some trouble because his passport was about to expire. Thanks to Howard, Bowen and Ms. Liu—and the hard work of the student and his parents—even that problem is solved and all is clear.

9月19日下午CAS时间，Chris和Larry向全校同学介绍了本次WLS项目参与者，以及我们学校作为国内**所参与WLS项目的学校，这次经历对每一个人都意义重大。并且，这将是我校与WLS项目方长期合作的开端，我们后续将由更多的这类活动，为学生们创造与知名组织合作的机会。

9月25日晚六点，我们将举行第二次家长和学生会议。回答家长们最关心的问题，例如打*行李的清单等。四天之后，我们的印度之行就要开始了!

On the 19th during CAS, the school was introduced to our program and our participants. As the first school in China to cooperate with WLS, it will benefit everyone in our school and it is the beginning of our long term cooperation with WLS.

This coming Sunday, the 25th of September, we will have the second parents-students meeting to answer the most concerned questions from them. After that, we only have four days until we all get on a plane!
