美国梦沃学校MVA总校校长给美国梦沃学校(上海)MVA SH的一封信

Dear Parents and Friends of Montverde Academy, Shanghai:

上海梦沃的各位家长，各位朋友，你们好，

Greetings as we begin the fourth year of our partnership, stronger and more optimistic than ever.

今年将是我们合作的第四个年头，我们之间的关系也比以往更加密切，前景更是一片光明。

This summer we successfully hosted forty students from the Shanghai campus here in Florida, where they performed excellently in classes ranging from Biology to World History. Students also were able to enjoy some fun on the weekends, exploring Orlando’s world-class theme parks and Florida’s famed beaches. As with every prior year, our entire faculty and staff was very impressed by the students’preparation, eagerness to learn, and their embodiment of the Academy’s core values of knowledge,character, and community.

今年暑假有 40 名上海梦沃的学生来参加弗罗里达总校的夏校。无论是生物，世界历史还是其他科目，孩子们在课堂上的表现都非常好。周末学校也会安排他们外出游玩，探索奥兰多主题公园，弗罗里达著名海滩等名胜。与往期一样，本期夏校上海梦沃孩子们展现出的强烈求知欲，充分的课堂准备以及梦沃核心价值观 “知识、个性、团队”让总校全体教职员印象深刻。

As I write, I’m also heartened that last year’s seniors, from the school’s first graduating class, are beginning their careers at some of the United States’ best colleges and universities, including UCLA, Boston University, Pitzer, UC Davis and Fordham. It’s a testament to the students and the tremendous hard work of everyone at the school that after only three years, they had such excellently strong results in the college application process.

上海梦沃的首届毕业生极大地鼓舞了我。他们即将在美国知名大学开始新的学习生涯，其中*括加州大学洛杉矶分校，波斯顿大学，匹泽学院，加州大学戴维斯分校以及福德汉姆大学。 他们的成绩是对上海梦沃的学生及全体教职员辛勤付出的比较好证明，证明了在短短三年的共同努力下，上海梦沃的学生可以在申请国外名校时取得非常好的成绩。

I am also very heartened to know that the Shanghai school will be moving this year to a new and very long-term campus, with facilities newly redeveloped to create the best possible learning environment for our students. With abundant classroom, dormitory and recreational space, and located in the vibrant, welcoming Sonjiang district, we can all celebrate this major milestone in the early history of the school.

上海梦沃即将迁入新的校址，这也让我备受鼓舞。 新校区面积很大，有充足的教室，宿舍和课外活动空间，教学设施完善，旨在为学生创造比较好的学习环境。 它坐落在热情，充满活力的松江区，将会是上海梦沃的长期校址，对于上海梦沃早期的发展具有重要的里程碑意义，值得庆贺。

Expanded enrollment requires enhanced management and additional faculty in order for a school to remain successful. Therefore, I am delighted that Ricky Jimenez, after doing so much wonderful work with students here in Florida, will now be serving as the Dean of Students. Ricky has a warm, kind rapport with students, though he is also clear and strict about the rules and values we have in our community. Chris Moses will continue in his role as the Academic Dean, overseeing the academic program; he will also be our partnership coordinator, in regular contact with me and my administrative team in Florida.

为了**学校能持续取得好成绩，随着招生数量的增长，学校必须相应地提升管理水平，扩大教职员队伍。因此，当了解到 Ricky Jimenez 将会担任上海梦沃学生处主任一职时，我非常开心。Ricky 在弗罗里达总校处理学生事务时表现非常出色，积累了丰富的经验。他和蔼热心，备受同学们喜爱，同时也十分了解学校的规章制度和价值观，该严厉的时候也会十分严厉。Chris 将继续担任教学主任，监管整个教学体系;同时也是总校和上海合作关系的联络人，会经常跟我以及我们佛罗里达的管理团队联络。

I’m also glad that so many talented and energetic faculty members are joining the school this year. They have a wonderfully diverse set of backgrounds, having worked and studied around the world: as our campus here in Florida is truly international, it’s fabulous to see a similarly global culture develop in Shanghai.

此外，我也非常高兴看到今年有那么多活力四射的青年才俊加入上海梦沃教职团队。他们的背景十分多元化，在世界不同的国家学习和**过。弗罗里达总校的教职团队非常国际化，我很开心看到上海梦沃教职团队也越来越国际化。

I look forward to my annual visit to Shanghai this year, and hope to see as many of you as possible. Our partnership has never been stronger, and I am tremendously optimistic about its continued success.
