我是美国梦沃学校(上海)学生张天羽，今天我将为大家讲述我的慈善大使美国华盛顿DC公益之旅和“黄昏海公益电台”Isabellae's Charity Story。

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award(保德信社区志愿者奖)是由美国保德信金融集团为参与社区和志愿者服务的杰出青少年所设立的奖项，也是全美最著名的青少年志愿者奖之一。

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is an award presented by the American financial group Prudential to outstanding young people involved in the community and in volunteering. It is the most illustrious award presented to young volunteers.

在中国，这个奖项由复星集团和保德信集团共同主办，每年会从上海和北京的众多案例中选出两位金奖获得者，作为中国的“慈善大使”参加保德信全球颁奖盛典。今年，我和来自北京人大附中的汪梦祺一起前往了美国华盛顿特区，在这里进行了一次收获满满的DC公益之旅。

In China, this award ceremony is held by Prudential and the Fosun group, and each year two gold medalists are chosen from amongst many contenders from Beijing and Shanghai to act as China’s “Charity Ambassadors” in the Prudential Global Awards Ceremony. This year, me and Wang Mengqi from Beijing went to Washington, DC, together, where we participated in a trip full of community service.

在华盛顿，我遇到了来自日本、巴西、爱尔兰、印度、韩国等来自世界各地的公益小伙伴们。我们交换了礼物，拍了好多好多照片，每一张照片都定格了我们年轻却熠熠生辉的脸庞。虽然我们来自不同的国家，有着不同的肤色，说着不同的语言，但在短短几天的华盛顿之行中，我们成为了比较好的朋友。

In Washington, I met others involved in charity from Japan, Brazil, Ireland, India, Korea, and other places all over the world. We exchanged gifts and took a lot of pictures. In each shot, our young and bright faces are frozen in time. Although we came from different countries, the color of our skins was different, and we spoke different languages, in our few days in Washington we became the best of friends.

因为我们都有着同样的梦想，我们都在公益的路上勇敢向前，尽己所能地付出，为的是给这个世界带来更多的美好和温暖。

Because we all have the same dream: we are all on the path of charitable work, doing what we can to give the most we can, in order to bring more warmth and beauty to the world.

在公益论坛上，我和美国的获奖者们交流了各自的公益项目。许多美国的小伙伴们都是因为年龄不够，申请加入大型公益组织担任志愿者被拒绝后就开始了自己的项目。我们想向世界证明，虽然我们还未成年，但我们同样可以带来改变!还有一个心脏不好做过许多次手术的女孩，她本应该是被救助的一方，却选择了自己站起来帮助他人，通过和小伙伴一起缝制和发放小枕头的方法带给更多的人温暖。听着大家的项目，我真的觉得这里的每一个人都好棒。

In the Charity Forum, I discussed each charity projects with the winners from America. A lot of American kids begin their own charitable projects after being turned away from large charitable organizations, because they are not old enough to participate as volunteers. We want to prove to the world that although we are still teenagers, we can still bring change! There was also a girl there with a bad heart who had undergone a number of surgeries. She should be the one receiving help, but instead decided to help others, and through sewing and making small pillows with her friends, helped to keep others warm. Listening to everyone talking about their projects, I thought to myself how great everyone was.

在公益的路上，我们遇到过困难和不理解，但我们从未动摇过，而是用一颗关怀的心去爱这个世界。就像一首歌里唱的那样：“我们都一样，一样的坚强，一样的青春散发出金黄色的光芒。”

In charitable work, we have run into difficulties and situations that are less than perfect, but we have not wavered in our work, and instead continued with caring hearts to love this world. It’s like something from a song: “We are all the same, with the same strength, with the same youth that exudes golden light.”

最令人期待的颁奖盛典在史密森尼自然博物馆举行，这是全球**也是我最想去的博物馆，我大爱的《博物馆奇妙夜》系列第二部就是在这里取景和拍摄的哟!颁奖盛典上，保德信集团邀请到的演讲者是得过最多奥运会**的游泳运动员、大咖Michael Phelps!Mr. Phelps告诉我们，不要因为旁人的嘲笑和质疑就停下自己向前的步伐，It’s okay not to be okay!

The most highly-anticipated award ceremony was held at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. This is the largest museum in the world, and the one that I most wanted to visit. A movie I love, Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian, the second film in the series, was shot in this museum! At the ceremony, the speaker invited by the Prudential group was none other than Olympic gold medalist, Michael Phelps! Mr. Phelps told us that we should not let the possibility of other people laughing at or questioning us stop us from going our own way. It’s okay not to be okay!

慈善大使们的登台领奖把颁奖盛典推向了高潮。当我们一个个踏上舞台，当主办方高声喊出“China”，当掌声和欢呼声久久回荡，当我们一起举起在灯光下闪闪发光的奖牌，这真是一个最美好而激动人心的时刻。我能够看到爱飞翔的小伙伴、和我一起做公益电台的爱心播客、还有所有支持我和我一起前行的老师家人朋友们向我露出的微笑，这是属于我们所有人的荣耀殿堂。我看着台下所有人起立为我们欢呼，这个夜晚群星闪耀，而我们的故事被刻在了星辰与明月之间……

The awards ceremony culminated in the ambassadors' stepping onto the stage to receive the awards. We got on the stage, the host announced "China" loudly, applause and cheering filled the hall, and we held up our medals high in the air. That was the best exciting moment! I could see the smiles of my teammates in I-Flying and caring broadcasters helping me with my charity radio program, and the smiles of my teachers, friends and family members who always support and work with me. My dear all, this honor belongs to all of us! On that starry night, when all the audience stood up and applauded for us, I knew our stories would be remembered by the moon and the stars.

Offering Community Service in a Local Primary School: Read Stories to the Kids

短短几天的旅程转瞬即逝。这几天里，我们游遍了这座博物馆和纪念馆之城;在当地的小学里做义工给孩子们讲故事;在华盛顿的夜色里的游轮上跳舞绽放青春……我不愿离开这座城，不愿离开在这里认识的新朋友们。但我想，这里的旅程会激励我继续向前，也希望更多的人能够加入进来，在关心乡村教育和留守儿童的公益路上一起前行。

This trip of a few days fleeted. In these days, we managed to visit every part of this city famous for its museums and memorials, do community service in a local primary school to read stories to kids, and dance in the bloom of our youth on a cruise in the night of Washington D.C.. I didn't want to leave this city and all the friends I just made here. Yet, I knew this trip would motivate me to go farther on my path. I really hope that more friends can join me on the charity road to improve rural education and to help the left-behind children.

持续关爱留守儿童 Caring for Left-behind Children

从初中开始，我就开始参与为贫困地区的孩子们捐赠衣服和书籍的爱心活动。2015年起，我参加了著名主持人崔永元发起的“爱飞翔·乡村教师培训”公益活动，两年内暑假服务时间超过400小时。在公益活动中，我接触了多位来自中国各地的乡村教师，和他们建立了深厚的感情，对乡村教育的现状和留守儿童的困境有了更多的了解，并希望能尽己所能为留守孩子们带来温暖和关爱。2015 年底，我在“荔枝FM”APP上创办了“黄昏海公益电台”，不仅在线上为孩子们讲故事，而且还在电台里向大家宣传乡村教育和留守儿童缺少父母关爱的现状。经过努力，由我和其他几位小伙伴一起讲故事的电台至今已经达到了两万四千人次的收听量，电台内容涵盖自然科普、中外故事、神话传说等多个栏目，还在中秋、圣诞、春节等节日推出了多期特别节目。

2016年暑假前，我带着从“爱飞翔少年营”和其他老师朋友处为乡村孩子们征集到的小心愿礼物70多件，回访了湖南平背乡中心小学、录制回访视频、在电台推出乡村孩子讲故事特别节目。回访结束后，我在爱飞翔的开班仪式上演讲、在爱飞翔官微上发表回访感想，得到了1000+的阅读量，同时收到了来自各位爱心人士的1000多元赞赏。我将这些赞赏额全部用于购买图书，并捐赠给了湖南平背乡中心小学的孩子们，鼓励孩子们勤奋学习、努力上进。今年起，我开始向乡村老师征集学生们的作文，并在公益电台中宣传、朗读，向更多人展示乡村老师和孩子们的付出和努力，让大家能够和我一起为乡村孩子们带来更多的爱。
