美国夢沃学校(上海)P&B课简介：增加自我认知，启发深入思考For Better Autognosis and Deeper Thinking

在中学阶段，获得更好的学习成绩或许能够让孩子进入一所更好的大学，但这就确保了孩子能够获得成功和一生的幸福吗?显然我们在新闻中，在各种报道中读到那么多发生在名校内的各种悲剧故事之后，我们知道并非如此。实际上，健全的心智，正确地看待事情、处理事情和人际关系的方式、能力，更能影响到孩子们一生的成功和幸福。

During high school, maybe you think maintaining an excellent GPA will help students to be accepted by a better university. However, can a great GPA guarantee success and lifetime happiness? Obviously, we all know the answer is negative, as we have been informed by news reporting various kinds of tragedies in prestigious schools. In fact, a healthy mind, the right perspective, personal skills and abilities to handle different situations are more influential to students’ success and lifetime happiness.

因此，我们特别设立了P&B课，即Psychology and Behavior, 意为心理与行为，来着力增加孩子们对各种事情和周围世界的认知，引发他们的更多思考。一点一滴，如细雨润物般，将对事情如何进行判断、解读以及如何应对，潜移默化到孩子们的心中。比如对学习的看法，与父母和同学的关系处理，当一件事情发生之后如何去看待和处理等等。这些都让孩子们能逐渐地，更加成熟、理性地去面对遇到的很多问题，并最终表现在行为习惯方面向更好的方向变化。这些变化也必将延伸至未来，让孩子终生都获得益处。

Therefore, we have specially designed a Psychology and Behavior (P&B) class to enhance students’ cognition of the world, in order to trigger profound consideration of the world around them. Over time, students are more capable of making their own judgments, comprehending, and responding to different matters such as learning, handling relationships with parents and schoolfellows, or views and responses to events. This can help students become more mature and rational in response to various situations, as well as improving their behavior. These changes will surely extend to the future and benefit them later in life.

P&B课每周五天，在每天早上正式上课之前进行。每周一，学生处主任Ricky博士会从一个话题引入，就孩子们出现的问题以及这种问题应该如何正确应对等等，与所有同学进行交流。每周五，常务副校长刘刘给学生们讲述各种有启发性的小故事，让孩子们有所思考。周二至周四则由班主任老师根据学校给出的心理和行为方面的内容，指导班上的同学们进行交流探讨。

P&B class is held five days a week before the first morning period. Every Monday, Dr. Ricky, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, will introduce a topic according to students’ recent behavior and discuss it with all the students. Every Friday, Deputy Principal Liu will narrate an instructive story to encourage students to ponder the issues. From Tuesday to Friday, homeroom teachers will guide students in discussion of the psychological and behavioral topics at the school each week.

**周的p&b主题为经济行为学。主要探讨了人在面对经济方面的选择时的非理性行为。着重介绍了风险规避，即：人们的风险偏好并不是一致的，当涉及的是收益时，人们表现为风险厌恶(即寻求固定收益);当涉及的是损失时，人们则表现为风险寻求。

The topic of the first week is behavioural economics, which mainly focuses on irrational economic behaviour. We introduced the concept of “loss aversion,” which suggests that people avoid risks toward gains and take risks when it comes to losses.

第二周讨论了文化与多元化的问题。这里主要提出了文化不仅*括了一个区域的风土人情，传统习俗，还*括了人们的交流模式，思考方式，价值观念等等。同学们抒发自己对不同地域文化的看法，并介绍自己一些旅游的经历。

The second week was about culture and diversity. Culture not only involves the tradition of a certain area, but also the way of communication, mode of thinking, and values there. Students talked about their perceptions towards culture of different areas and their experiences from travelling.

第三周介绍了刻板印象这个概念，并讨论了一些社会话题如性别歧视，地域歧视等。希望通过这一周的p&b，同学们能对未接触过的事物有更客观的解析。

The third week introduced the idea of stereotypes. We discussed some social issues such as gender and racial discriminations. The main purpose of the topic was to induce a more objective perception towards new things from students.

第四周主要内容为自我规划。重点讨论了如何制定一个能让我们按时完成的计划。

The topic of the fourth week was self-planning. The content was on how to make a plan so that we would not underestimate the time it would take to accomplish our goals.

老师简介 Profile of the Teacher

吴雯晔 Wenye Wu

先后取得英国伦敦大学学院(UCL)心理学(与统计)荣誉学士学位，伦敦政治经济学院(LSE)组织行为学硕士学位。多次参与conference 项目，并曾在北京师范大学心理系担任助研。

Wenye got her BSc Psychology (Statistics) Honor Degree at UCL, and MSc Organisational Behaviour at LSE. She participated in several psychological conference projects, and was a research assistant in Beijing Normal University.
