美国梦沃学校(上海)2017年春季学期通知六：复星保德信获奖喜讯

各位家长：Dear parents,

一、 喜报分享 Good News

2017.3.25第四届复星保德信青少年社区志愿奖颁奖典礼在复旦大学光华楼隆重举行。经过组委会严肃认真的评审，来自京沪两地多名青少年志愿者通过提交他们出色的公益案例从600多动容的公益故事中脱颖而出，被授予“慈善大使”“明星志愿者”“优秀志愿者”称号和奖牌。我校张天羽荣获“慈善大使”金奖，并成为汇聚爱心自愿者，她将和另外一个同学代表中国受邀参加2017年5月在美国华盛顿举行的保德信青少年社区志愿奖全球颁奖典礼。同时张苑、赵习文同学获得优秀志愿者称号。

The awarding ceremony of the “4th Pramerica Fosun Spirit of Community Awards” was held in Guanghua Building of Fudan University on March 25th, 2017. Through scrutinized review by the organizing committee, a few teen volunteers from Beijing and Shanghai stood out from 600 impressive volunteering stories, and they were awarded as“Charity Ambassador” “Star Volunteer”, “Excellent Volunteer” and silver medals. Isabellae Zhang from our school won the gold award of “Charity Ambassador”. She and another student was invited to attend the global awarding ceremony of “Pramerica Fosun Spirit of Community Awards” in Washington D.C. in May, 2017. Meanwhile, Amy Zhang and Yvonne Zhao won the title of “Excellent Volunteer”.

三、 英文歌曲比赛English Song Contest

周一CAS活动时间进行了英文歌曲比赛。比赛现场气氛热烈，悠扬的乐曲，甜美的歌声，帅气的表演，震撼的音乐。在多功能厅孩子们尽情的展现着青春洋溢的一面。经过大众评委的认真评比，比赛结果如下：

The English Song Contest was held during CAS time on Monday. The competition was full of excitement. Everyone enjoyed the music, beautiful voice and performance. Students thoroughly showed their energy and talents in the multifunctional room. Through an overall review by all the students and teachers, here comes the winners:

4.13和4.14为学校期中考试。校车15:00发车。

The midterm exam will be held on Apr. 13th and 14th (Friday). The school bus leaves at 15:00 on Friday as usual.

五、 装饰新校区活动 Decorate our new campus

1、主题Theme

我们的校区，我们来装饰;我们的青春，我们的style

Our Campus, we decorate; our youth, we style.

2、活动的目的Purpose

(1)展现美国梦沃学校(上海)学生的风采，丰富同学们的课余文化生活，增强学校的凝聚力。

To present the style and talent of MAV(SH) students, to enrich their extracurricular life and to enhance the solidarity of this big family.

(2)为发挥同学的想象力和创新能力，张扬个性，体现青春活力。

To give wings to the students’ imagination and creativity and to give them the platform to show their youth, individuality and vitality.

(3)为营造一个文明、高雅有良好艺术文化氛围的特色校园环境。

To create a polite, graceful and artistic school atmosphere.

5、活动要求 Requirements

(1)、作品可以来自课堂内外。

The artworks you use to decorate our new campus can be in-class works or outside-class works.

(2)、上交作品内容必须将积极向上，健康活泼，体现学生的青春活力，体现美国梦沃学校(上海)的理念和追求：让看似平凡的孩子光芒四射，让优秀的孩子更加卓尔不群!

The works must be positive, healthy and lively to present the youth and vitality of the students as well as the philosophy and pursuit of our school: to bring out the best of every student to make them extraordinary!

(3)、所上交的作品需要装裱好，交给王璐Journey老师(四楼办公室)。

All works should be framed and given to Miss Wang (Journey) (4th-floor office)

6、活动过程Process

(1)、开 <难得“葫”涂> 兴趣班Interest Class on Cucurbit

a.利用平时课余时间，将一批喜欢葫芦艺术的同学组织起来，进行创意绘画教学(黑白装饰、彩色装饰、多种材料综合运用等等)。

Students who are interested in this class can learn creative painting on cucurbit—black and white decoration, colorful decoration and application of various materials— during their spare time.

b.所有作品都用来装饰我们美丽的校园。

All the works will be used to decorate our new campus

(2)、书法、素描、漫画、装饰画、水粉画、油画、水墨画、手**品等形式作品的收集。

All kinds of works are welcomed: calligraphy, sketch, manga, decorative picture, gouache, oil painting, Chinese ink painting, handcraft products and so on.

(3)、作品收藏Collections

收藏不仅是一种对于物品的搜集、储存、分类与维护的喜好，更是一种文化的传递，是一种精神的富足。师生的优秀作品一旦被选中，学校将予以收藏的荣誉，并颁发收藏证书。

Collection is not only about the habit of gathering, stocking, sorting and preserving things, moreover it is the transmission and inheritance of culture, a symbol of a rich spiritual life. Once your excellent works are chosen, the school will award you a “Certificate of Collection” .

六、 学生处提醒 Reminder

此处温馨提醒，按照学生手册相关规定：对于学期总义工小时数积累高达40小时的同学，将处以校内停课两天的处理，停课期间学习和成绩上的影响由学生个人负责;继续积累至45小时的将予以回家停课三天的并严重警告处分;继续积累至50小时的，将交于校董会商讨处理或予以劝退。请以下义工小时数积累接近20小时的同学引起注意：XXX 28.5小时，XXX 19.5小时。

Just a reminder. According to the students handbook：students with 40 punishment hours will get a first warning letter and serve a 2-day in-school Suspension. Meanwhile they also must take the academic consequence of being absent due to the suspension. Students topping 45hrs.will get a second warning letter and serve 3-day outside-school suspension. Meanwhile they also must take the academic consequence of being absent due to the suspension. Students topping 50 hrs will get a final dismissal letter or case will be reviewed by Admin to consider an alternative program. If your hours is close to 20 or above, please be alert! The following students should pay attention: xxx28.5hrs. xxx19.5hrs.

七、 警告信Warning Letter to Student for Poor Performance

Dear XX,

Your recent misconduct violated the privacy and integrity of one of our students who happens to be your roommate as well. Having taken a picture of your peer without his consent and being in his underwear has caused tremendous indignation not to mention the emotional distress. In addition, you decide to send this picture to 4 other students including a girl. Such social act is neither satisfactory nor acceptable in our institution. You claimed to have done this for fun, however; the joke turned out to be embarrassing for the other student who was being degraded by your foolish actions.

You are aware this is your first offense; therefore, you will be serving hours for two weeks upon receiving this letter. Your parents will be notified immediately. If you continue with such poor misconduct, I am afraid you shall not be able to continue studying here. As you know there is no compromise on the standards and quality of education in our school. Same applies on the performance and behavior of students.

I am looking forward to hearing good news regarding your behavior reports.

亲爱的XX同学：

你最近犯了一个很愚蠢的错误：在未经允许的情况下拍下室友同学在卫生间里穿着内裤的照片，并将照片转发给四位其他同学，且其中一个是女生。你的所作所为侵犯了同学的隐私权，而且他还是你朝暮相处的舍友。你这种行为引起了该同学的严重不满，同时也造成了该同学精神上的损失。这种行为是学校*括任何社区团体都无法接受的。虽说你解释说只是出于好玩，然而你的玩笑开的过头了，导致其他同学因你的愚蠢行为而不得不面对如此尴尬的情况。

鉴于你是初犯，现处以你即日起连续做两周惩罚性义工，并通告父母。如有再犯同类错误，恐怕你将无法继续在本校就读。你知道学校在对学生的教育标准上是不能降低的，对学生在学校的行为表现要求也是不能降低的。

我希望能看到你的进步和改变。
