一、 本周P&B 介绍

因本周CAS的主题为文化交流，所以这周P&B主题为文化与多元化。

The theme of this week’s CAS activity was cultural exchange, so the theme-based sharing in P&B was also about culture and cultural diversity.

二、 关于赴美夏校

3月20日为赴美夏校截止日，请想报名但尚未填写信息的家长及时填写扫二维码填写学生信息。后面附3份文件,已有美国签证的同学关注附件1，无签证的同学关注附件1、2、3.

If you want to send your kids to the summer camp in MVA Florida, please scan the aforementioned QR code and fill in the form ASAP. The deadline is Mar. 20th. Three related documents are attached here. If you’ve already got the visa, please check Document 1. If you’ve not got the visa yet, please check Documents 1&2&3.

三、 绿色精神 Green Trend-Fresh Start

为配合下周CAS“Green Trend-Fresh Start”活动，请每位同学下周带一份盆栽，或者绿色装饰物到学校。穿绿色衣服或鞋子也可以，总之要带来点绿色。活动的目的是培养同学环境保护意识，丰富课余生活。

Please bring a potted plant or other green decorations to school to prepare for the “Green Trend-Fresh Start” CAS activity next week. As long as there is green with you, it will be fine. It will also do if you wear green clothes or shoes. The purpose of this activity is to develop the kids’ environmental awareness and to enrich their extracurricular life.

四、 外部来访

本周二下午两点,四川省成都市金牛区教育局领导、校长、园长一行，来我校(MVA SH)参观、听课、座谈。他们这次来上海,接受上海**教育平台的推荐，分别参观了三类不同学校：公立学校，招外籍学生的国际学校，招中国学生的国际学校。

This Tuesday (March 14th) afternoon 2:00 p.m., a group from Education Bureau (EB), including the head of EB and Principals, visited our campus, attended lectures, and had a discussion about education in Montverde Academy Shanghai campus. They accepted the suggestions from the largest educational platform in Shanghai to visit three types of schools, which are public schools, international schools for foreign students, and international schools for Chinese students.

教育局一行，全程听了Allen先生的AP人文地理，对Allen先生幽默风趣、张弛自如的课堂教学，学生自信投入的学习风貌，留下了很深的印象。来访老师们还走进了Mobbs先生的“音乐制作”、刘欣老师的“音乐欣赏”、汪溪老师的“绘画”、王璐老师的“手工”、李美老师的“戏剧”课堂。对学校多样性的课程有了更多的了解。最后Bowen校长、刘刘、陈劲、Moses先生、Jimenez先生、Allen先生、宋老师、苗助理、麻老师和来访的老师们进行了座谈。就教育理念、学校特色、课程设置、以及人性化的管理做了广泛而深入的交流。第二天从相关部门得到反馈信息：成都市金牛区教育局一行，对我们学校用心做事的态度以及专业严谨而人性化的学校建设和管理，给予了很高的评价。

The group from EB attended the whole lecture of Human Geography by Larry Allen, and deeply impressed by Larry’s humor and students’ confidence and concentration in class. They learnt the diversity of course from attending Andy’s Music Production class, Xin Liu’s Music Appreciation class, Xi Wang’s drawing class, Lu Wang’s craft class, and Mei Li’s drama class. By the end, the group had a discussion over education with Principal Bowen, Liu Liu, Jin Chen, Chris Moses, Ricky Jimenez, Larry Allen, Zhicheng Song, Qiannan Miao and Zhiqing Ma. The discussion profoundly focused on educational concepts, characteristics of school, curriculums, and human-based management. The following day MVA Shanghai received a feedback from Chengdu Jin Niu Educational Bureau, which expressed their impression of the diligent attitude and professional school development and management of MVA Shanghai Campus.

五、 总校发展部、国际部主任到访

美国总校发展部主任Chris Mitchell以及国际部主任Ian Smith今天百忙之中抽空来访我校。他们刚刚接待完总校学生家长，明天一早又要飞去北京。他们也很重视这次来访上海梦沃，增进相互交流的机会。我们热烈欢迎了他们的到来，也跟他们介绍了我们新校区的设计以及亮点。

Chris Mitchell, the Director of Development, and Ian Smith, Dean of International Students, generously made time in their busy schedule to visit MVA Shanghai. They are headed to Beijing early tomorrow but, following a reception with parents from Florida. It was important to them to see and connect with everyone at the school. They were warmly welcomed and enjoyed getting to learn about highlights and designs for the new campus opening in the fall.
