美国梦沃学校(上海)科学课程分为两学期开设，内容涵盖物理、化学、地球科学等重要基础科学专题。希望这门课能在尝试激发学生科学兴趣的同时，为学生后续的科学学习奠定一定词汇和内容上的基础。

Grade 8 Science is a two-semester course which covers physics，chemistry, earth science and some very basic science ideas. Hopefully this course will ignite the passion in my students and build up a solid foundation of science vocabularies and basic ideas.

在学习了地球结构和土壤结构分层图之后 学生们3人一组 开始尝试做一个“土壤分层甜食杯”!

After learning the earth structure and soil layers，every 3 students were grouped together and did a teamwork for building a soil layer sugar cup!

在土壤最下层，是糖块做的岩床层;最上面是上层土，颜色通常为深棕色，有很多腐烂的动植物深埋其中并带来养分;中间是下层土，颜色较浅，腐殖质较少，含一些破碎的风化母岩碎片。

The bedrock lies on the bottom with sugars cubes.Topsoil is brownish with a lot of humus burried and contains nutrients;In the middle there is the light color subsoil layer with less humus and some slightly weathered broken up parent rocks.

最上层放了一些可爱的动植物，使用水果硬糖作为原材料。

Above the topsoil students have put some decorations with cute candies as the living creatures on earth.

土壤使用了两种不同颜色、不同硬度且风味较佳的趣多多巧克力饼干制作。

Soils were made of chocolate cookies with different colors and tasty flavors.

这样一个土壤甜食杯就做好啦!

Veronica Cheng

毕业于UConn(University of Connecticut)并获得化学硕士学位

在Uconn获聘为助理教师 为大学本科生教授大学化学两年

Veronica got her Master's Degree of Chemistry in UConn and once taught undergradutes chemistry as an assistant teacher for two years

目前在MVA教授 In MVA she is teaching：

10-12年级: Honor Chemistry

9年级：Science：Chemistry

8年级: Science
